Banana Bread
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 cups bananas (ripe, mashed) (about 3 medium bananas)
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
Steps
- Heat oven to 325°F.
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Mix in bananas, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Add milk and dry ingredients to the banana mixture and mix thoroughly.
- Pour into greased and floured loaf pans.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Notes
- Four 3×2×5.5-inch pans: 45-minute bake time
- One 9×5×2.5-inch pan: about 1-hour bake time
